Slug
A slug is the last part of a page's address, written in lowercase words joined by hyphens, such as my-first-post in /blog/my-first-post.
How Xodia sets slugs: a page's settings set its slug with the full address shown, and a CMS item's slug is made from its title and locked once saved, so links to it keep working.

What it is
Slugs make addresses readable for people and search engines. A good slug is short, describes the page and doesn't change, because changing it moves the page to a new address.
Slugs use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, so they work in every browser and need no escaping.
In Xodia
A page's settings set its slug next to its parent folder, with the full address shown. A CMS item's slug is made from its title and locked once saved; changing it on purpose moves the item's page.
A collection can keep slugs no item may take, so a page such as /blog/archive can sit beside the posts.
