Starter and upAdd-on per site

Xodia Languages: one site, every language your visitors read

Add languages to a site in Project settings, then translate right on the canvas, by hand or with your own AI. Each language gets its own addresses, its own search tags and a switcher your visitors can use, with one shared design.

Free plan. No card needed.

Xodia's Project settings on Languages: the languages add-on with Up to 3 extra languages chosen, then the site's languages, English, Spanish, Japanese, Arabic, each in its own script, Arabic marked Right to left, English as the default and how many texts each other language has translated, with Add a language, a row for each language, the site address and Save languages.

Add languages

Pick your languages in Project settings

Open Settings, then Languages. Choose the add-on for this site, search for a language by its name or code and add it. The first one you add is the default.

  • Your default language keeps its addresses, and every other language gets its code before each page's path, such as /es/classes or /ja/classes
  • Each language shows in its own name and script, and you can rename it, make it the default or remove it
  • Removing a language takes it off the site and keeps its translations, so you can add it back later
  • Visitors are never sent to another language on their own. They choose it with the switcher

How it works: Set up languages.

Project settings, Languages, before the site has languages: English, Spanish, Japanese, Arabic chosen, English as the default and the others not saved yet, Add a language, an empty site address and Set up languages, which adds the languages kit to the site's code.

Translate on the canvas

Click a text and type it in another language

Switch the canvas to a language from the address bar. The page shows that language, and clicking any text edits its translation only. Styles and layout stay shared, so every language keeps one design.

  • The language menu counts the texts on this page that still need a translation
  • Turn on Show missing to outline each of them on the page
  • When you change a text in your default language, its translations follow the new text
  • Numbers stay as they are, so a year in your footer never shows as missing

Language switcher

A switcher your visitors can use, styled like your site

Add one from the Add panel under Navigation: Language links for a row of links, or Language dropdown for a button in your nav that opens a list.

  • Show each language by its name, its code or both
  • Each link opens the same page in that language, as a real link search engines can follow
  • The dropdown opens without JavaScript too, and works with the keyboard
  • Style it like any other element. Xodia keeps your changes when it updates the rest of the languages kit

Titles and addresses

Page titles and addresses in each language

Page settings get a language switch, so each page has its own title, description and share text in every language. In Languages settings, give a page its own address in a language too.

  • A translated address, such as /es/clases, opens the page in that language, and links in that language use it
  • Leave it empty and the page keeps its default address after the language code
  • Translate all pages with your AI sits in each language's row, next to its addresses

Project settings, Languages, with Spanish open under Each language: Translate all pages with your AI, and page addresses where /classes is /clases and /visit is /visitanos in Spanish while /menu keeps its address after /es, then the site address used for hreflang and the sitemap.

Right to left

Right-to-left languages, laid out the right way

Languages written from right to left are marked Right to left in your settings. Pages in that language get the right direction, so rows and columns mirror while the design stays yours.

  • Each language carries its own direction, so a site can mix left-to-right and right-to-left languages
  • The canvas shows the page as visitors will read it, so you can check it as you translate

CMS by language

Collections in every language, published when each is ready

Mark a Xodia CMS collection as translatable and edit each item in the Content tab, one language at a time, with your default text shown above each field.

  • Translatable fields

Text, rich text, the SEO fields and image alt text are translated. Dates, numbers, images, options and references are shared, so a change to them shows in every language. You choose for each text field.

  • Draft or published, per language

Each translation has its own Draft or Published state and can have its own address, such as /es/journal/horario-de-primavera.

  • Untranslated items stay out of search

An item not yet translated shows your default text in that language, and search engines are told to use the default page instead. Once you publish its translation, it gets its own page and search tags.

  • Translations aren't extra items

Your plan's CMS items count the default language only. Each collection shows how many translations are missing, with Translate with your AI.

SEO done right

Every language found on its own

Xodia writes what search engines need for each language when your site builds, on Xodia hosting or on your own host. See SEO.

  • Language and direction tags

Every page tells browsers and search engines its language and its direction.

  • Language links (hreflang)

Each page lists the same page in your other languages, with your default language for everyone else.

  • A sitemap with every language

Add your site's address in Languages settings, and the sitemap lists each page with its versions in every language.

  • A page for each language

Each language gets its own page files with its title and description, so crawlers see every language without running your site.

Translate with your AI

Your own AI translates, and you review

Translate with your AI sends the work to the AI you already connect to Xodia. Its translations come back as edits you check on the canvas and save.

  • A button where you need it

Translate this page or all pages from the canvas's language menu, a whole collection from the Content tab, or a whole language from Languages settings.

  • Tools for any AI

Over MCP, your AI can list your languages, read what a page or collection still needs and write many translations at once, CMS items included.

  • No translation fees

The translating runs on your own AI plan, so Xodia adds no cost for it. You can always type translations yourself too.

Questions

Xodia Languages questions

Which sites can have more languages?

Sites made from the Xodia template, including every template in the Marketplace. An imported site that already has its own way of showing languages keeps it, and Xodia edits its default language.

Do I pay for translations?

No. You translate on the canvas yourself, or Translate with your AI sends the work to your own AI, which runs on your own plan. The add-on is the only charge, per site.

What happens if I move to a smaller plan or remove the add-on?

Nothing is deleted. Your languages stay in your site's code and keep working on your live site. Studio stops editing the languages past what your plan allows, until you add the add-on again or remove some languages.

How is the add-on billed?

On your plan's subscription, per site. Adding it charges the rest of the current month straight away, then it renews with your plan. Removing it ends it at once, with no credit for the rest of the month.

Do I need a separate design for each language?

No. Every language shares one design: styles, layout and components are the same, and only the words change. Right-to-left languages mirror the layout for you.
