Interactions and motion, without writing animation code
The Interactions section of the design panel gives an element a hover effect or a reveal as it scrolls into view, and builds timeline animations that play on load, on scroll or on a click. Xodia writes them into your own code as plain CSS, and skips the motion for visitors who prefer less. Free includes hover presets; Starter, Pro and Agency add the rest.

The design panel's Interactions section for the selected heading: On hover is None, Scroll in is set to Slide up, with the Animation and Mouse rows under it and the note that motion is skipped for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
Timeline
Starter and upBuild an animation from steps
Start from a preset or from nothing, then add steps for opacity, movement, scale, rotation or blur, each with its own duration and delay. The bars under the steps show the whole timeline.
- Presets to start from: Fade up, Fade in, Pop in, Slide from left and Blur in
- Easing from ease out to a spring, and children that play one after another, 60 to 160 ms apart
- Each animation has a name, so you can reuse it on other elements of the page
- Load, scroll and click animations on a timeline, for Astro, Vite and HTML sites
A new timeline animation named hero-intro in the Interactions section: the presets, Starts on Page load, Ease out, the element itself, two steps (opacity from 0 to 1 over 500 ms, move up from 1.5 to 0 over 600 ms), their bars on a 600 ms timeline, Add step, Cancel and Save.
Triggers
Starter and upPlay it on load, on scroll or on a click
Choose what starts each animation: the page loading, the element scrolling into view, a click on it, or a button elsewhere on the page that plays it.
- On click, play: make a button start an animation somewhere else on the page
- Mouse effects: tilt toward the pointer or drift with it, subtle, normal or strong
- Scroll reveals are CSS scroll-driven animations, so they need no script, and browsers without them simply show the element
The Interactions section with the timeline animation hero-intro on the selected heading, Edit beside it, On click, play left at its default, and the mouse effect Tilt toward the pointer at Subtle strength.
With your AI
Ask for motion in plain words
Select an element and describe the motion you want, or run /xodia:animate in Claude Code. Your AI follows Xodia's motion skills and picks the lightest way to build each effect.
- Interactions: Plans interactions the way design tools describe them (a trigger and an effect) and picks the lightest way to build each one: CSS, Motion or GSAP.
- CSS animation: Builds hover effects, reveals, scroll-linked motion, loops and page transitions with CSS alone, in Tailwind or plain stylesheets.
- GSAP: Builds timelines, scroll stories, pinned sections and text effects with GSAP, cleaned up properly in React, Next.js and Astro.
The ask box with Design chosen and a request to fade the menu cards in one after another as they scroll into view, sent to your AI.
What you can add
Six kinds of motion, one panel
Everything below sits in the Interactions section, under the rest of the element's style.
On hoverEvery plan
Lift, Grow or Dim, written as Tailwind hover classes with a short transition.
Scroll inStarter and up
Fade in, Slide up or Zoom in as the element scrolls into view, with no script.
TimelineStarter and up
Steps of opacity, movement, scale, rotation and blur, up to twelve, each with its duration and delay.
TriggersStarter and up
Page load, scrolled into view, a click on the element, or a button that plays it.
MouseStarter and up
Tilt toward the pointer or drift with it, at a strength you choose.
Reduced motion
Visitors who prefer reduced motion see every element in place, and nothing stays hidden if the script doesn't load.
Questions
Interactions questions
Does it add an animation library to my site?
No. Hover presets and scroll reveals are CSS classes on the element. Timeline animations are plain CSS in your main stylesheet with one small script that starts them. If a page needs more, your AI can add GSAP with its own skill.
What about visitors who prefer less motion?
Motion is skipped for them, and every element shows in its final place. Content never waits on the animation: it stays visible until the script marks the page ready.
Which sites can use timeline animations?
Load, scroll and click animations on a timeline, for Astro, Vite and HTML sites. Free includes hover presets on Tailwind sites. They need a main stylesheet and a site that loads scripts from the page; on other sites your AI adds motion in code.
Which plan do I need?
Hover presets come with Free. Scroll reveals, timelines and mouse effects come with Starter, Pro and Agency. Compare plans.
