Start a new website
To start a new website in Xodia, plan it with your AI, pick a starter, import the code you have from GitHub or copy a website you own by its address. Every way gives you a real code project you can edit visually from the first click.
Free plan. No card needed.

Four ways to start a new website
Pick the one that fits what you have today. You can plan with AI after any of them.
Plan it with AI
See the Plan tabPick a starter and tick Plan the site with AI next. Your AI drafts the sitemap, wireframes and style, then builds every page.
Pick a starter
See the starters2 small sites with Tailwind, one for each kind of site, ready to edit and grow.
Import from GitHub
See GitHubOpen the repository you already have. Saves go back to it and your host deploys them as it does today.
Import a website
See Import a websitePaste the address of a site you own. Its pages become an HTML project, and Convert to React can rebuild them as React and Tailwind.
Plan it with AI
Every planStart from a brief, not a blank page
Describe the business and add sites you like. Your AI plans every page on one canvas, and you change anything before it builds.
- A sitemap, a wireframe of every page, a shared menu and footer, and the style
- Built page by page in the starter's stack, with copy in your voice
- Runs on the AI you connect. See Plan with AI
- Imports and copied sites get a plan made from their code when they are created, kept in sync afterEvery plan
Xodia's Plan tab on Sitemap: Home and the pages under it as cards on a canvas, each with its sections drawn as small layouts and the shared navigation and footer, with Wireframe 5 pages and Build 5 pages in the toolbar.

How to start
Two steps to a running site
New project asks how you want to start, then which starter. Connecting your AI can wait.
- Choose Start a new site, pick a starter and give the project a name, and tick Plan the site with AI next if you want a plan first
- Xodia creates the site and opens its live preview in your browser, ready for Edit
- Every starter uses Tailwind v4, with its theme tokens in the Variables panel
- Each comes with an AGENTS.md that tells your AI how the site is built
- Have a site already? Choose Import from GitHub instead. See GitHub
Xodia's New project dialog asking how you want to start: Start a new site from a template or a starter, Import from GitHub to open a site you already have, or Import a website by its address, with Start a new site outlined, and the optional Connect your AI line.
Import a website
Copy a website you own, then edit it
Choose Import a website in New project and paste the site's address. Xodia copies the pages visitors can see, with their images, fonts and styles, into a plain HTML project you can edit visually at once, with no AI.
- Confirm you own the site or have permission to copy it; only what visitors can see is read, and pages behind a login are skipped
- Scripts and trackers are removed, so menus, forms and other moving parts may need rebuilding
- Up to 4 pages on Free, 10 pages on Starter, 20 pages on Pro, 500 pages on Agency
- Convert to React rebuilds the imported pages as a new React and Tailwind project without AI, checks each page against the original and gives it a match score; the HTML project stays as it is
- Ask your AI to tidy the converted code or rebuild the site its own way
Xodia's New project dialog on Import a website: the address risebakery.com and the project name, notes on how many pages your plan imports, that only what visitors can see is copied and that scripts and trackers are removed, the box confirming you own the site ticked, and Start import.
With your AI
Or let your AI start it
Your AI can create the project from any starter through Xodia's tools, then build the pages you describe.
- Ask for a site and the stack you want; Xodia's create_project tool takes the starter
- In Claude Code, /xodia:build starts a build from your description
- Your AI follows Xodia's skills for the starter's framework. See Agent skills
Questions
Questions about starting
What is the fastest way to start a new website?
Pick a starter and tick Plan the site with AI next. Your AI plans and builds the pages, and you edit them visually. If you already have code, import it from GitHub; if you have a live site, import it by its address.
Which starter should I pick?
React + Vite for a site built from React components, from a landing page to many pages with React Router. HTML + Vite for plain pages with no framework.
Can I edit everything in a starter?
Yes. Every starter opens with full visual editing: click any text, image or link, style it in the Style panel, and add sections. It is plain code, so your AI can change anything too. See the visual editor.
Does a starter count toward my projects?
Yes, like every project: 2 projects on Free, 10 projects on Starter, 30 projects on Pro, 100 projects on Agency. Compare plans.
Are there ready-made site designs?
Yes. The Marketplace has free templates: whole sites with real copy, photos, CMS collections and motion, each with a live demo. In New project, choose Start a new site and pick one under Start from a template, or ask your AI for the design you want from a starter.
Can I use a starter with a CMS?
Yes. Create a Xodia CMS collection in the Content tab, such as blog posts from the Blog posts starter, and it lives in the site's own repo with a page for every item. That comes with every plan; Free includes 2 collections and 100 items a site. See Xodia CMS.
