Hand clients the editor. Keep the code clean.

You build client sites in real code, often with AI. Then the client writes in for every new photo and price, and each small change lands back on your desk. With Xodia, clients click and type on the live site, fill in content forms, and every change waits for your review before it goes live.

The Content tab: a bakery site's menu collection, with each entry's status as Live, Changes or Draft.

Less time on edits, more time on new work

Where a freelancer's week goes once client sites are live, and how Xodia gives it back.

  • Clients write in for every small change

Invite the client to the workspace. They click the text on the live page and type, or swap an image, without opening code or asking you.

  • You worry a client will break the site

Their edits stay a draft until they save, to a branch if you ask them to. Review the pull request, then merge it and the host deploys as usual.

  • Content lives in Markdown or a CMS

The Content tab turns content files, Astro collections and Sanity documents into forms built from your schema, so clients update posts and menus safely.

  • You build with AI and want to keep doing so

Connect Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP app. Your AI gets Xodia's tools and skills, and picks up the requests you send from the editor.

A typical week

Your week with two clients on Xodia

The client keeps the site current; you build, review and publish.

  1. MondayStart a new landing page for one client with /xodia:build in Claude Code, and refine it on the canvas.
  2. TuesdayThe other client updates prices in the Content tab and saves the change to a branch.
  3. WednesdayYou review that branch's pull request, merge it, and the host deploys it.
  4. ThursdayRun a speed test on the live site and hand the failed checks to your AI.
  5. FridayPublish the new landing page and check its deploy in Publishing.

The branch menu in Xodia on the branch spring-hours: the branches on GitHub with main as the live site, then New branch, Open pull request into main, Merge into main (make live) and Delete branch.

Questions

Questions from freelancers

Can my client edit without seeing any code?

Yes. They work on the live page and in content forms. Xodia writes the code, and nothing goes live until someone publishes.

How many client sites can I run?

Starter includes 3 projects and Pro 10. An imported repo counts as one project. Compare plans.

Does my client need a seat?

Yes, everyone who edits is a member of the workspace. Starter includes 1 and can grow to 3; Pro includes 3, up to 5. Extra seats are $12 a month each.

Can I stop a client from publishing by mistake?

Have them save to a branch, and merge it yourself after review. On Pro and Agency, roles and permissions also decide who can publish to the live site.
