Prerendering

Prerendering builds a page's HTML ahead of time, at build time, so the content is in the page when it loads instead of being drawn later by JavaScript.

What it is

A single-page app sends a nearly empty HTML file and builds the page in the browser. People see the result, but crawlers and link previews that don't run JavaScript may see nothing. Prerendering writes the finished HTML for each address during the build.

The page still starts as an app in the browser, so it keeps its interactions while the first view and every crawler get real content.

In Xodia

The Xodia CMS kit prerenders collection pages: when your host builds the site, each published item gets its own HTML page with its title, description, share tags, structured data and its content, and drafts get none.

This website, xodia.ai, is prerendered the same way, which is also how its Markdown twins are made.
