Anchor text
Anchor text is the visible, clickable words of a link, which tell readers and search engines what the linked page is about.

What it is
"See pricing for teams" says where a link goes; "click here" doesn't. Descriptive anchor text helps screen reader users who skim a page by its links, and gives search engines context about the target page.
Icon-only links need a text label for the same reason, and the same words shouldn't point at different pages. Within a page, links in the body copy are worth more to readers than a long list of links in the footer.
In Xodia
Xodia's link check flags vague link text: empty links, icons without a label, and a bare "click here" or "read more". Your AI fixes them so each link says where it goes.
In Design you can select a link and change its text and address in the panel, and the site linking skill has your AI write descriptive anchors when it adds links.
