These are the steps Xodia shows for VS Code under Connect your AI. Where VS Code asks for a server, choose Streamable HTTP and OAuth sign-in, and paste the address.

Troubleshooting

If VS Code doesn't connect

Four things to check when it won't connect.

  • VS Code asks for a transport or typeChoose Streamable HTTP and paste this address. Xodia doesn't run as a local command, so there is nothing to install.

  • VS Code asks for a key or tokenLeave it empty and choose OAuth. VS Code asks you to sign in to Xodia and keeps the access you allow.
  • Nothing happens after sign-inAsk VS Code to work on your Xodia requests, or start your message with "Use xodia to", so it knows to use the server.
  • You'd rather not set up an appUse the From Xodia helper, or built-in AI on Pro and Agency, and send requests from Xodia's ask box instead.

VS Code questions

Do I need a local copy of my site?

No. VS Code works on your project through Xodia's tools, in Xodia's preview. For a folder on your computer, use Xodia's local folder mode.

Does Xodia see my VS Code login?

No. VS Code signs in to Xodia with OAuth and keeps its own login. Xodia charges nothing for the work VS Code does; it runs on your own plan with VS Code.

Can VS Code publish my site without me?

No. Its edits wait as a draft in Xodia, it saves a restore point only when you ask, and it can't save to the live branch of a site imported from GitHub. Publishing stays a button in Xodia.
