Use Xodia with Codex

Connect Codex to Xodia as a remote MCP server and hand it real website work: new pages, broken builds, design fixes and the requests you send from Xodia's editor. Codex gets 26 tools and 39 core skills, and every change waits as a draft for you to review and save.

Free plan. 14-day Pro trial. No charge unless you choose a plan.

Xodia's New project dialog on its first step, Connect your AI agent, with the Other tab open: add a remote MCP server with Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in and the Xodia MCP URL, then sign in and ask.

Add Xodia as a remote MCP server

These are the steps Xodia shows for Codex under Connect your AI. Where Codex asks for a server, choose Streamable HTTP and OAuth sign-in, and paste the address.

Want every detail, from the sign-in to the error format? Read the MCP server reference.

  1. Step 1: Add a remote MCP server: type Streamable HTTP, sign-in with OAuth, and this URL.

    MCP server URL
    https://app.xodia.ai/mcp
  2. Step 2: Sign in to Xodia when the app asks, then ask it to work on your Xodia requests.

What to ask

Ask for pages, fixes and reviews

Name xodia in your message so Codex reaches for its tools. It has 26 of them to read, edit, check and screenshot your site, and loads Xodia's skills for the job.

  • Use xodia to work on my Xodia requestsCodex picks up what you asked for in Xodia's ask box, one request at a time, and replies there when it's done.
  • Use xodia to build a services pageCodex adds the page the way your framework expects, with a navigation link and a page title.
  • Use xodia to fix the failed deployCodex reads your host's build log for the failed deploy and fixes what broke it.
  • Use xodia to make the blog cards match the design systemCodex changes the look with your site's own tokens and classes, at phone and desktop sizes.
  • Use xodia to add a fade-in to each sectionCodex adds scroll reveals the way Xodia's Interactions panel writes them, so you can tune them visually.
  • Use xodia to restore yesterday's versionCodex lists your restore points and takes the site back to the one you pick, without losing current work.

Requests from Xodia

Point at an element in Xodia, let Codex change it

Select an element on the canvas, type what you want and pick a kind. Then ask Codex to work on your Xodia requests: it gets the element's place in your source code, so it edits the right line.

  • Each step shows in Xodia's Agent panel as it happens
  • Changes wait as a draft until you check them and save
  • If Codex lists MCP prompts, Xodia's 8 appear there too, from build to speed

The ask box under the canvas with the selected heading in it, a typed request, the request kinds with Design chosen, and Your AI as the one to send it to.

Troubleshooting

If Codex doesn't connect

Four things to check when it won't connect.

  • Codex asks for a transport or typeChoose Streamable HTTP and paste this address. Xodia doesn't run as a local command, so there is nothing to install.
    MCP server URL
    https://app.xodia.ai/mcp
  • Codex asks for a key or tokenLeave it empty and choose OAuth. Codex asks you to sign in to Xodia and keeps the access you allow.
  • Nothing happens after sign-inAsk Codex to work on your Xodia requests, or start your message with "Use xodia to", so it knows to use the server.
  • You'd rather not set up an appUse the From Xodia helper, or built-in AI on Pro and Agency, and send requests from Xodia's ask box instead.

Questions

Codex questions

Does Codex need my repo on my computer?

No. Codex works on your project through Xodia's tools, in Xodia's preview. Your code stays in your GitHub repo or in Xodia, where every save becomes a commit.

Does Xodia see my Codex login?

No. Codex signs in to Xodia with OAuth and keeps its own login. Xodia charges nothing for the work Codex does; it runs on your own plan with Codex.

Can Codex publish my site without me?

No. Its edits wait as a draft in Xodia, it saves a restore point only when you ask, and it can't save to the live branch of a site imported from GitHub. Publishing stays a button in Xodia.

Which Xodia plans include it?

Every plan, the free one too. Compare plans for preview hours, projects and the stack packs each plan adds.
