Draft mode is a way for a site to show unpublished content to editors, such as a draft post in a CMS, while visitors keep seeing only what has been published.

## What it is

Frameworks and CMSs implement it differently. Next.js has a built-in Draft Mode that switches a request to preview data with a cookie; many headless CMSs offer a separate preview API or a draft perspective that returns unpublished changes.

The point is the same: check how a change looks on the real page before anyone else can see it.

## In Xodia

In Xodia, everything you change is saved in Xodia as you go and stays off your branch until you push it, and off your live site until you deploy. For content in a headless CMS, edits from the Content tab stay drafts in the CMS until you publish them there.

Xodia's draft pages skill also keeps whole pages in draft: visible in Xodia's preview, left out of the live site until you publish them. The CMS stack packs tell your AI how to wire the CMS's own preview.
